About Me

Pam Howell

Education Consultant

I have always aspired to be a teacher and I’ve been very fortunate to realise my dream. I have shared my educational journey with a host of very interesting, knowledgeable and inspirational individuals who have all helped to shape my views on life. These encounters have inspired me to provide the best educational opportunities and experiences for all the children placed under my care. I have always believed that it is vital that we show our children that we value and care for them as individuals.

Professionally, I feel proud of what I have achieved during my teaching career. Educating and supporting children and their families, training new teachers to help grow and strengthen our profession;  guiding my childhood school to ‘Outstanding’ within 4 years and becoming a National Support School and myself a National Leader of Education, and more recently, working with the staff at St John’s and DGAT to help raise my final named school from Inadequate to Good.

Having taught in primary education for 35 years, including 19 years as a headteacher, I have now refocused my efforts on helping school leadership teams develop their school holistically for the benefit of their pupils.

I have witnessed a raft of changes since I first started my educational journey in Bristol in 1987, and no doubt, there will be many more to come. By working as a collective, school and SIAS, hand-in-hand, we will stay on top of these changes and grasp them so as to innovate your practice. I have always been open to change and embrace any initiative that will truly enrich and benefit the lives of the children and the community we serve.

It has been about putting my faith into action and leading by example to show what can be achieved. My educational journey has always been about the child and the change and enrichment we can bring about to their lives.

Now, as an educational consultant, I am driven by the desire to develop and inspire our future profession; guiding and supporting colleagues to achieve their full potential.

In the words of Nelson Mandela: ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’.
